Mickey Virus heroine Elli Avram is the latest contestant to be eliminated from theBigg Boss 7 house. We caught up with the sweet and sexy Swedish-Greek beauty post her exit and this is what she had to say…
What was is it like staying with total strangers under one roof for over nine weeks?
It was really amazing. I am really happy that I got to experience something like this. I am really missing everybody.
Did you expect to come out of the house so soon?
To be frank, I was expecting to be evicted this week. Other contestants who were nominated with me were really strong and entertaining when compared to me. So I was pretty much prepared for it.
Any regrets?
No. I don’t have any regrets. I have only good memories which I will cherish forever.
You became a household name after your stint in Bigg Boss 7, to the extent that college boys in North India were not able to concentrate on their studies and had your posters in their hostel rooms. College authorities had to ban your pictures so that students could concentrate on studies. Any thoughts?
(Laughs) Oh my God! Really! What are you saying! I didn’t know about this. That is like a huge compliment for me, I guess. But on the other hand, it’s good that the college authorities banned my posters, because studies are more important than looking at me.
Salman Khan’s fondness for you was evident right from the opening episode. And there were multiple occasions when he said that you were a replica of Katrina Kaif. What do you have to say about that?
Obviously it was very flattering to hear something like that from Salmanji. For me, Katrina is like a superstar. She is like a idol for me. But I never thought about it deeply, because I am a newcomer and and Katrina is a star. So for me there is only one Katrina.
What is your opinion about Salman Khan as a person?
He is very humble and a pure gentleman. He is a great host and whatever he is doing is amazing.
There were a lot of times when you were complimented by Salman. What according to you is the biggest compliment you have got from him?
The biggest compliment he gave me was that I look more Indian than any other contestant in the house.
Given the power to eliminate one person from the house right now – who would that be?
Oh God! That’s a very difficult question. Considering all that happened this week, if given a power, I would like to eliminate Kushal (Tandon). Though he re-entered the house with lots of energy, he created a lot of confusion in the house and was trying to influence people. And when Salmanji on Saturday’s episode said that whatever Kushal told us was a lie, I was really disappointed.
Would you like to go inside the house as a wild card entry?
Yes. Given a chance, I would definitely like to go back inside the house as a wild card entry.
Who were your favourite people inside the house?
Andy and Sangramji (Singh). I am missing them a lot. I am also missing Tanishaa (Mukherji) and Armaan (Kohli). In fact, I am missing everybody.
Who according to you is being fake inside the house?
Kamya (Punjabi) is putting up a fake face.
When your debut film Mickey Virus was released, you were inside the house. Did you felt bad that you were not a part of promotions or at the premiere?
Yes, I wanted to get out of the house. I was feeling really sad. I was thinking that my whole Mickey Virus team is having fun and I am not with them. I started working with them, it should have ended with all of us together. Chalo theek hai, koi nahi.
So what’s next for Elli Avram?
I hope and pray that all my fans see me in a Bollywood film.
Will we see you in a film opposite Salman Khan?
Well, lets see. If he has any offer for me, I will be more than willing to work with a man like him.
Any message for your fans?
I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to them. Without them, it wouldn’t have been possible for me to reach till here. I just hope to keep entertaining them with whatever work I do in future.
